Things you & your local communities can do together from a grassroots level:
Hold your representatives & justice departments accountable!;
Educate your local law enforcement agencies, school officials, & health care professionals on how to better handle Victims with the respect, dignity, & compassion they so desperately need & it will also encourage more people to come forward;
Raise awareness through the posting of fliers & handing out brochures with local crisis & shelter hotlines;
Holding monthly community meetings & inviting local leaders & law enforcement to them to answer questions & concerns;
Using social media apps to “go live” at these community meetings so others can not only get involved, but people in other communities can set up their own meetings, &;
Network with other communities & organizations like #VagUp! to keep up to date on the changes that we’re all trying to achieve!
¹ – The tagline “Crimes Against Humanity” was first widely used, in this particular fight for justice for victims, by former President, Jimmy Carter’s campaign & TED Talks against Domestic Violence and crimes committed against Women and Children.

Greetings to all our wonderful friends and supporters! As you know we’re in the middle of trying to update #VagUp! so it’s more user friendly and has a better flow.
To that end, we’ve been very humbled, honored, and grateful for the help and IT skills from many of our supporters. We are currently setting up a Patreon site, developing better access to programs, setting up our crisis center hotline, and so much more.
Thank you all so very much for your faith in our mission here at #VagUp! and for bearing with us as we update in order to achieve our goals and help as many people as possible! I’m truly humbled and honored by your continued commitment and support of my nonprofit and what we’re trying to achieve!
We’ve got a long uphill battle ahead but I feel certain we WILL AND CAN make it happen – together! Together we CAN stop the violence and help to mend shattered lives, making them whole once again! Together we can be the voice for those who still can’t find their’s! Change comes from coming together as one and demanding, peacefully and with an eloquent sense of commitment, that Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Rape, and Child Abuse WILL NOT be tolerated ANYMORE! That those who perpetrate these horrible crimes against humanity be held accountable – no matter who they are, no matter if they’re rich and famous – we will not tolerate these crimes nor the insulting current state of such lenient sentences handed down on those who commit them!
Your help with us today is a huge part in the push to demand that our local, state, and federal government and justice systems change laws, offer better protection for victims, and our local law enforcement agencies and medical professionals are better trained in how to better address and handle these situations that puts an end to victim blaming and instead lifts them up, shows them compassion, and helps victims regain their dignity!
Stay tuned for more information coming soon, along with our new shop where all sales will be going directly back into funding our work to change the laws, fund our grant programs and help get victims the physical and mental health help they need! You can also shop on Amazon using their Amazon Smile program which allows you to pick a nonprofit organization you want to support and a percentage of the cost of everything you buy on Amazon Smile will be donated to us! It’s a great way to donate that COSTS YOU NOTHING EXTRA as it comes from Amazon’s end, but still allows you to support us everytime you shop on Amazon Smile!
Again, I simply can’t thank you all enough! Together we are strong, together we can make change happen!
In Peace, Harmony, Humility, and Thanks,
Jessica M. Kandal, PhD
“I’ve never been brave enough to share this with anyone before, but this is me 3 WEEKS AFTER I had been raped. Thankfully the cigarette burn marks had gone away. What you can’t see are the bite marks, the choke out marks on my neck, and the 36 stitches inside me. Despite these outward marks finally healing, it was the emotional and psychological marks of constant fear, self-loathing, disgust, and shame that left the worst scars of all, some that will never go away.” – Jessica M. Kandal, PhD
We also have several other programs available like: grants for women owned & operated business, victim educational & professional grants, and our “Getting Off The Welfare Treadmill” program to name a few.
